Cases by MASCO, provides the engineering support needed to help our customers design the most efficient way to protect their equipment. We utilize our standard line of cases and then design the interior and exterior options to meet their requirements. Many of our suppliers can also provide custom cases to meet the requirements. We provide working solutions to house various types of equipment from small laptop computers to large military applications. We can modify cases to include custom foam inserts that protect equipment from damage. We also perform custom modifications that include extra handles, casters, and internal stiffeners. If it looks possible we will work vigorously to satisfy the requirements and provide the customer with a prototype prior to final production release. We have the facilities to provide our customers with a total package solution from design through completion with quality built in.

Custom Plastic Molded Cases

Cases By MASCO has the experience and expertise to deliver and design a completely custom molded case. We have done it all from large shipping cases to small CD boxes. Cases by MASCO is one of the few Dealers/Manufactures that can deliver a completely customized molded case. We have a great deal of experience in this field and work closely with our current suppliers to develop such cases. We utilize several different manufacturing processes for the production of these cases to help insure we can meet your exact application and price points.

Tooling can be very expensive, and may be cost prohibitive, but there are certainly times when a custom molded case is the way to go. This situation typically is warranted when the volumes and features of the custom design can pay for themselves in a short period of time.

Most applications however do not warrant spending a large sum of money on tooling for a custom case. In these situations we can often locate a case that is “close enough” in size for your application and then make any necessary changes, such as custom interiors. Either way we are confident that if you consult us on your design, we can find a solution that will meet your requirement.

Custom Wood Cases

If you are looking for a cost effective totally custom case with no tooling costs then this is the way to go. Don’t let the fact that these cases are made from plywood deter you. Once complete many people do not realize that they were constructed from wood. Custom plywood cases have been around for years and allow you to make a case exactly to your specifications. These cases are produced by using plywood, aluminum extrusion and laminates. When you’re done you end up with a case that looks nothing like a plywood crate but rather a very functional long lasting shipping container.

Wood cases are ideal for when you need a small quantity of custom cases or simply cannot find a stock case to meet you requirements. Remember these cases are made to exact dimensions and therefore only take up space that is required compared to stock cases that may end up larger than needed.

Lead times for a custom wood case typically run 8-10 business days upon receipt of order.

Custom Foam Interiors

CASES by MASCO, offers you expert design and fabrication for all your case interior and packaging requirements. We have the ability to shape all types of foam including Polyurethane, Polyethylene, Polyester, and many other open and closed cell foams. We maintain a large inventory of foam in stock, so we can quickly and efficiently produce your case interior. We have the capabilities to provide the right design and material for your products protection.

• We generate all our designs using a 3-D modeling program to help insure your equipment is accurately and properly packaged for transport.
• There is no engineering fee for custom interiors, although there can be one time die charges for larger quantity runs or complicated cavity design. We can provide a hand cut unit for small quantity runs or first article design prior to releasing to manufacturing.
• Our custom interiors can usually be supplied in about two weeks or less, depending on order size, limiting your turnaround or down time.

We can build just about any configuration that can physically be placed in a case.

Foam Design

We can either develop a custom foam interior based on your dimensional requirements or work with your existing design/drawings. We generate all our designs using a 3-D modeling program to insure that your product is properly protected.

Should you already have drawings we can accept many file types such as .dwg, .dxf, .iges, and .step files to help speed up the process. If you don’t have existing drawings we can develop them for you.

Our goal is to make your development process as simple and easy as possible, while providing the most cost effective methods of producing your product protection interior.
